Google announced the Chromecast Ultra during the Pixel event on the 4th. Chromecast Ultra is a 4K version of its very popular Chromecast streaming device. With the ability to stream 4K content from YouTube  Netflix, and Vudu at launch, and stream 4K content from Google Play Movies in November with HDR.

Google stated the Chromecast Ultra is its fastest Chromecast device to date and regardless if you have a 4K TV or not, loading times are improved to 1.8 times faster than the standard Chromecast. Much of this improvement is provided by the improved Wi-Fi connectivity. Another nice addition is an Ethernet port on the power adapter for users whose Wi-Fi connections may not be able to handle 4K streams.

The Chromecast Ultra will cost you double the price of its predecessor, coming in at $69 in the US and will be available in November in the US, and 15 other countries around the world.
